The organizers of the film
festival have several aims: to help aspiring film makers of all ages
and skills to achieve public appraisal of their work in an international
environment as well as showcase established New Zealand film
makers' works, and to promote the delightful community of
Raetihi.
Raetihi is home to the oldest theatre in the Southern
Hemisphere, and the community has just completed the refurbishment
of the theatre, which seats 250 people.

Films of most genres and of any length
will be accepted. We will try and screen ALL entries but will
have to make a final decision based on the volume
of entries we receive. Should we receive more entries
than we can show, we will select according
to the artistic merit of the submitted films.
Entry to the showings will
be free of charge. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come,
first-serve basis at the theatre.
